"Free and Clear" Tea This tea is carefully formulated to support animals who may have experienced heavy metal issues including iron storage disease. Ingredients: CO2 decaffeinated black tea*, Schisandra berry, CO2 decaffeinated green tea*, Licorice root*, Red clover*, Rosemary leaf*, Chicory root*, Burdock root*, Calendula flower*, Dandelion root*, Milk thistle seed*, Barberry root*, Fennel seed*, Ginger root*, Cornflowers *denotes organic ingredient Directions for use: Cold-brewing: Add 1 teaspoon of tea to every 8oz of cool or room-temperature filtered water. Seal container with lid and leave at room temperature or refrigerate for 8-12 hours. Strain off solid components which can be added to fresh foods so as not to waste tea leaves, flowers, herbs, etc that have been steeped. Hot Brewing: Add 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons of tea to every 8-10 ounces of hot (never boiling) water. Always allow to cool to room temperature prior to offering. Some individuals may need it diluted as they become accustomed to the taste of the tea blend being offered. Tea blends consist of organic matter and, therefore, can spoil once wet like all other foods. It is not recommended to use tea at room temperature for extended periods of time and should be left out as long as fresh foods would be left out (up to 8-12 hours depending on environment). It is also critical that animals have access to clean water for at least part of every day. All teas are safe for animals to bathe in though some staining may occur dependent upon the ingredients contained within that blend. Tea blends may be used dry and mixed with fresh and dry foods but the true benefits come when tea is steeped and consumed as a liquid. Biodiversity Bird Blends relies on experts in animal nutrition to carefully and safely formulate our blends. We do NOT simply mix random items in bags without considering the impact each ingredient will potentially have on your animals. We use the absolute best quality ingredients and inspect every batch carefully. Our goal is to improve the lives of the animals with which we share our lives and appreciate your trust in us and our products. |
